The DOL and more…From the DOL’s Lips to our Ears

March 18, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm EDT

The Pension Education Council of Atlanta (PECA) is pleased to invite you to this very informative presentation by Alycya Henderson, J.D., a Supervisory Benefits Advisor for the U.S. Department of Labor–Employee Benefits Security Administration in the Atlanta Regional Office. Join us in welcoming Alycya to PECA!  Find out what she has to say about qualified plan audits and DOL field investigations and learn what the DOL folks are finding out in the field.  This presentation will help you better equip both you and your customers should the DOL come knocking at their door. Ms. Henderson will also take your questions during the session.

In addition to Ms. Henderson’s presentation Alison J. Cohen, J.D. from Ferenczy Benefits Law Center will discuss the new online IRS VCP submission processes, which will become effective April 1, 2019.  She will outline how the submission process has changed, the challenges that are already being felt, and the new procedures.  Also, she will share suggestions on the process to ease the transition to the new rules.

PECA thanks the Atlanta DOL Office for its encouragement of dialogue between them and practitioners, as well as its support of Atlanta’s newest pension education organization.  Please join us for what we know will be a great session.
