Debra L. Carpenter, CPA

With more than 25 years of auditing experience including 15+ years as a principal in Atlanta-area CPA firms, Debra’s focus is on financial statement audits primarily for employee benefit plans and not-for-profit organizations. She currently provides these services on a freelance basis to CPA firms. She also assists retirement plans, nonprofit entities and closely-held businesses prepare for their financial statement audit or review which will be performed by an independent CPA firm.

Debra is the current Treasurer of the Pension Education Council of Atlanta and has served as the Treasurer of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) Benefits Council of Atlanta.  She is also a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Debra holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida and she is licensed to practice as a CPA in Georgia and Florida.
